Jewelry Care
Caring for Your Colored Diamond Jewelry
Lab grown diamonds are just as durable as mined diamonds, among the hardest materials on earth. With simple care, your piece will keep its brilliance for a lifetime.
Everyday wear
Put your jewelry on last, after lotions, perfume, and hairspray. Remove rings before heavy lifting, gym sessions, swimming, and household cleaning. Chlorine and harsh chemicals can dull gold settings over time.
Cleaning at home
Soak your piece in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 20 to 30 minutes, then gently brush around the setting with a soft toothbrush. Rinse in clean water and pat dry with a lint free cloth. This keeps both the diamond and the 14K gold setting bright.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box. Diamonds can scratch other jewelry, including other diamonds.
Professional care
We recommend a professional inspection of prongs and settings once a year. If your piece ever needs attention, contact us at 718-839-3122 and we will take care of it.
